Description
When asked questions such as “Why do you want to become a SES?â€, “Have you reviewed the criteria in which SES candidates are evaluated,†and “What steps have you taken towards meeting the criteria?â€, often individuals cannot answer these questions. This presentation will focus on the five ECQs used by OPM in evaluating whether a candidate’s experience meets the ECQ requirements. It will also assist in devising an action plan for gaining these competencies and discuss how to live the core concepts once an executive.
Participants will learn:
1. The 5 Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) required for federal jobs in the Senior Executive Service (SES);
2. Ideas for creating an action plan for reaching the required qualifications for the SES level; and
3. Ideas for ways to live the ECQs once an SES position is obtained.
